Three dates usually settle whether you have a claim: when you signed, when you closed, and — for a first-time buyer claim — when you last owned a home you lived in.
Send those over, or call and we’ll walk through it.

What to have ready
Your agreement of purchase and sale date
Your closing or completion date
For a first-time buyer claim, when you last owned a home you lived in
For owner-built or renovation claims, roughly when construction started
Been denied? Bring the notice.
If the CRA has assessed and denied a claim, the date printed on your notice of assessment is the thing that matters — you have 90 days from it. Send us the notice and we’ll tell you whether the denial is arguable and how long you have.
That review is free, whoever filed the original claim.
